Taylor Swift brought nothing but sheer excitement to the second sold out night in Washington DC on her Speak Now World tour last night (August 3). From the moment she stepped onto the Verizon Center stage to perform the tour’s opening song, Sparks Fly, she had the crowd in her hands.
She delighted with her songs but also drew cheers for her story telling. With the number “13” written on one hand and the Robert F. Kennedy quote “I dream of things that never were and ask why not?” written down the other arm, she amused the crowd with anecdotes of sight-seeing around the DC and had the crowd going absolutely wild by telling all 15,500 of them how awesome they were for choosing to be with her for the night.
The Speak Now world tour sponsored by CoverGirl continues on in Philadelphia, PA on August 6.
