Forget about just watching The Throne. Fans are listening to The Throne, aka Jay-Z and Kanye West, in big numbers.

The duo’s long-overdue joint album, Watch The Throne, went on sale exclusively on iTunes Monday, August 8, and racked in the downloads during its first day out.

According to Billboard.com, industry insiders are predicting the set will eventually sell between 400-500,000 copies in the first week available.

The final sum and chart position, Billboard notes, is harder to pin down since the prediction is made based on iTunes sales only. Watch The Throne will be released everywhere else, digitally and physically, starting August 12.

If Watch The Throne hits the predictions, the album will be second in line for the biggest first week opening of the year, behind Lady Gaga‘s Born This Way, which pulled in over 1million copies in its first week out.
