Lil Wayne Not Worried About Aftermath Of Jay-Z Diss On “It’s Good”

Lil Wayne got the blogs buzzing when a new track from his Tha Carter IV album, titled “It’s Good,” leaked to the internet this week. Not because the leak signaled the album is really, truly done and being released finally, but because the song contains an apparent jab at rap royalty Jay-Z, and, even more unthinkable, Jay’s queen, Beyoncé.

“I got your baby money/Kidnap your bitch, get that how much you love your lady money,” Wayne raps on the track, which also features Drake and Jadakiss. To be fair, Wayne’s dart is being thrown in response to Jay apparently dissing his mentor Birdman first in the Watch The Throne track “H.A.M.”

But while some fans think Weezy should enter witness protection to guard against any retaliation (mostly from livid Queen B fans), he’s not concerned about the aftermath of the diss.

“I know there won’t be any repercussions behind what I did,” Weezy told Vibe Magazine. Maybe that’s because he’s not fully owning up to the diss. “I know for a fact music is about perception,” he said. “You can’t do anything but perceive what you hear. I know that for a fact. So I can’t ever be upset about someone’s reaction…I’m not going to say I don’t know what would happen before I even say [something on record]. I do know what will happen. I’m aware of it. But it is what it is.”

Jay has yet to respond to the diss, and more than likely won’t. He’s too busy reigning at No. 1 for a second week on the Billboard 200 albums chart Watch The Throne.
