Kelly Clarkson in "Mr. Know It All"
A lot has been said and written about Kelly Clarkson ever since the day she was crowned the very first American Idol winner, but not everything you read in the papers, magazines, and on the blogs are true. Kelly’s setting the record straight and telling one know it all that he doesn’t know a thing about her in the video for her new single, “Mr. Know It All.”
“Oh you think that you know me, know me. That’s why I’m leaving you lonely, lonely. Baby, you don’t know a thing about me,” the pop powerhouse belts as she and her band rock out in a room wallpapered in article clippings of untruths. As the video goes on, Kelly packs her bag and hits the open road, truly leaving the poor schmuck lonely, lonely.
The finished video seems to have taken a detour from the concept Kelly talked about in a behind the scenes clip from the set VEVO premiered last week. She talked up a clip that would show a “variety of different Kellys,” but besides the random (and quite useless) scene with her dolled up in a flowing gown, Kelly stays down-to-earth and normal through most of the video, just with different colors filtered over the shots. And we’re not complaining. That other concept had “cheesy” written all over it. This one is simple and holds strong to the song’s lyrics.
“Mr. Know It All” leads Kelly’s new album, Stronger, out on October 25. Watch the video below:
I love her new video and song. Great message and Kelly stays true to herself. She is one tough lady that you don’t want to mess with. She is awesome!!! I wish she blew the wall up or set it on fire at the end. That would have been so cool. lol.
