Adam Lambert and his mom Leila Lambert both received awards at the 2nd annual PFLAG (Parents, Families, & Friends of Lesbians and Gays) National LA Event held last night (September 25) in Beverly Hills. Adam and his mom were presented with crystal awards in the two shapes of the PFLAG logo; Adam was honored with the inverted triangle for his “authentic and strong” voice in the gay community, while his beautiful mother received the heart for her unwavering support of her multi-talented son and the LGBT community.
In their acceptance speeches, both Adam and Leila recounted their “easy” experience with Adam’s coming out, but noted that often times other gay kids and families don’t have it as easy as they did and that’s where an organization like PFLAG really helps.
“I am incredibly honored, I’m incredibly proud. I have an amazing kid,” a doting Leila said of the honor and her Grammy-nominated son during her acceptance speech. Adam was equally as proud of his mom. “It’s really exciting to be here tonight. Thank you guys so much for honoring my mother,” he said.

Adam honed his eloquence and spontaneity from his dynamic Mom, Leila. What a great Mother and Son team. Congratulations on your very well-deserved awards, Adam and Mom!!
A verse dedicated to Adam who is loved by millions around the world.
Adam is the beacon light
Shimmering in the depth of night
Guiding young and old alike
Into the harbour of delight
Adam is a very filial son. He asked for another round of applause for his Mom, Leila and said he graced the occasion, for his Mom. So sweet…Adam. No wonder all the Moms love you.
