It’s a good thing Jessie J is finally done with the foot cast and crutches. She needed to be able to get to the stage quickly and often with the amount of awards she picked up at last night’s (October 5) 2011 MOBO Awards held in Glasgow, Scotland.
The British soul singer, who worked the show’s red carpet in a stunning black lace dress, scored four awards. Among them were Best UK Act, Best Newcomer, Best Song for “Do It Like A Dude,” and Best Album for her debut set, Who You Are.
An ailing Adele picked up Best R&B/Soul Act, while Rihanna, who is in the UK currently but was unable to attend the show because she had to rock out on her LOUD Tour, won Best International Act.
