Drake Pushes ‘Take Care’ Release Date To November 15

Drake - Take Care

It will take a little while longer than expected to get some tender loving Take Care from Drake.

The Toronto-born rapper has pushed the release of his highly-anticipated sophomore album back to November 15, he announced today on his October’s Very Own blog. Turns out, issues clearing samples on three songs from the set was the cause of delay. “My options were to take the songs off and make the birthday release happen, or to take an extra couple weeks to get the paper work right and give you the album they way I NEED you to hear it,” Drake explained. “The choice was clear as day for me. November 15th you will get Take Care the exact way I created it with no trimmings.”

Drizzy was apologetic about keeping his fans waiting for the album, but also very passionate about the set, saying, “This music means too much to me to get attached to dates and I do apologize for the delay but I promise that it is only for the benefit of our experience together.”

Take Care’s delayed release is also pushing back Drizzy’s Club Paradise Tour, which was slated to beginning in November. The trek will now “be moved to when students are back from the Christmas/New Year break so that I can get to more schools.” The new dates are coming next week.
