Sophia Grace and Nicki Minaj - Ellen
By now you’ve probably seen the video of the adorable little girl performing Nicki Minaj‘s “Super Bass” with astounding lyrical accuracy on YouTube. Well, you’re not the only one. Among the over 7 million viewers of little Sophia Grace’s video is the chart-topping Queen Barbie herself.
8-year-old Sophia and her 5-year-old cousin Rosie appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show yesterday (October 11) to talk about their star-making video, their love for dressing up like princesses, and, of course, Nicki. Sophia also performed “Super Bass” and blew the crowd away with her big personality and rapid-fire rapping and singing skills.
But little Sophia was left blown away when Ellen surprised her with a visit from Nicki, who took the time out of her busy schedule just to meet her.
“Within five seconds of seeing this video, I was calling everyone I knew and I was also receiving a billion emails…she blew me away,” Nicki said of Sophia’s video. “This is a superstar.”
After urging the girls to keep singing but put school first, Nicki surprised the girls with very Nicki-esque wigs and promised them a shopping spree. Before taking off, Nicki and Sophia performed “Super Bass” together. Cutest thing ever!
