Drake‘s new album is expected to do some serious damage on next week’s Billboard charts.
Take Care, Drizzy Drake’s sophomore album, is predicted to see first week sales of around 675,000 – 725,000 copies in its first week according to industry trade publication Hits Daily Double.
This tally makes Drake a lock for No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart next week and gives the rapper his second No. 1 album. His official major label debut, Thank Me Later, also debuted at the top spot, shifting more than 447,000 copies in its first week of release.

The set’s projected haul is a more than impressive feat. The album was originally set for an October 24 release date but was pushed back due to sample clearance issues just a few weeks before that date. Interest in the project remained high still despite this and a potentally damaging album leak–a leak that happened two weeks before the set arrived in stores. “Listen, enjoy it, buy it if you like it…and take care until next time,” he said in a tweet to fans regarding the leak.
Take Care features collaboration with Rihanna, Rick Ross, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne and more.
