Michael Buble’s ‘Christmas’ Expected To Sell Another 500k For Third Week At No. 1

Michael Bublé

Tis the season for Michael Bublé. Lots of Michael Bublé.

The Canadian crooner’s new holiday album, Christmas, is expected to earn its third straight week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart next week, and that’s because the set is flying off the shelves to the tune of a possible 400-500k copies this week, according to Hits Daily Double.

That astonishing sum is partly thanks to  exposure from Bublé’s NBC special, A Michael Bublé Christmas, which aired Monday night. The hour-long special featured Bublé singing many of the tunes from the album with special guests Kellie Pickler and Thalia, plus an additional solo performance from Justin Bieber.

Michael Bublé’s Christmas sales predictions easily crush those of new releases by Amy Winehouse, T-Pain, Robin Thicke, and The Black Keys. The Black Keys should take the runner-up spot with 160-180k copies sold of their new album, El Camino, while Winehouse’s posthumous set, Lioness: Hidden Treasures, will sell close to 100k copies for a top 10 debut. Meanwhile, according to Billboard, T-Pain’s oft-delayed rEVOLVEr and Thicke’s Love After War are both predicted to have tepid sales debuts not currently expected to pass 50k.
