Video: Mary J Blige, Kelly Clarkson And Jennifer Hudson Open 2011 VH1 Divas With Soulful Medley

Soul music took centerstage as VH1 Divas returned with their 2011 edition dedicated to the genre, the stars and cities that made it popular. To start things off, Mary J Blige, Jennifer Hudson and Kelly Clarkson opened the show with a soulful medley of some of their own hits.

The three emerged in diva-worthy outfits and traded turns in the spotlight. Jennifer performed her hit Spotlight, Mary did an updated version on Real Love and Kelly put a soulful spin on Since You Been Gone. When they weren’t singing their own hits, the singers were coming together on the Supremes smash You Keep Me Hangin On.

VH1 Divas Celebrates Soul will also feature performance by Florence + The Machine, Jessie J, Ledisi and more. Watch the performance below:
