Adele
There’s just no moving Adele from atop the Billboard 200 albums chart.
The British songbird’s monster album, 21, stays put at No. 1 on the main album chart after selling an additional 104,000 copies according to Nielsen SoundScan as reported by Billboard.com. This marks Adele’s 16th non-consecutive week at No. 1 with the album and ties the Titanic soundtrack’s record for one of the longest-running stints at the top spot (the Titanic soundtrack accomplished the feat in 1998).
Elsewhere on the chart is the debut of Snow Patrol‘s new album. Fallen Empires comes in at No. 5 after selling 31,000 copies. While the chart position is a career high, it isn’t the band’s highest sales week.
The Black Keys‘ El Camino remains steady at No. 3 with 36,000 copies sold while Drake‘s sophomore album, Take Care, drops from No. 2 to No. 4 this week. In its former place is the debut of David Crowder Band‘s new album Give Us Rest.
