Katy Perry - EMI
Katy Perry‘s Teenage Dream is about to be restocked with more pop ear candy. The Grammy-nominated pop star is gearing up to re-release her sophomore album, originally released in the summer of 2010, on March 13, MTV reports.
The revamped set, titled Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection, will feature a number of freshened-up songs which were previously left off of the album’s tracklist, including one titled “Dressing Up.”
“This song is really special,” producer Tricky Stewart told MTV back when word was beginning to spread about a possible Teenage Dream re-release. “It’s going to be a big record, I think…It definitely fits. It’s right there in what her sensibilities are as a musician and a songwriter. She doesn’t change much. She has a very keen musical taste. It’ll be really good.” (Perhaps Katy will get that sixth No. 1 after all.)
The new songs will join all 12 of the original cuts, including the chart-toppers “California Gurls,” “Teenage Dream,” “Firework,” “E.T.,” and “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.).”
