Madonna is speaking out and shutting rumors down. The pop icon called into the Ryan Seacrest Morning Show to chat about her spectacular Super Bowl halftime show performance, and got down to talking about one of the most talked about moments from the show: M.I.A. flipping the bird to 114 million viewers. And if you think Madge, who is known for courting controversy of her own in the past, is OK with the gesture, think again.

“I was really surprised. I didn’t know anything about it. I wasn’t happy about it,” she told Seacrest. “I understand it’s punk rock and everything, but to me there was such a feeling of love and good energy, and positivity it seemed negative. It’s such a teenager…irrelevant thing to do…there was such a feeling of love and unity there what was the point? It was just out of place.”

After taking on the finger-wagging ways of a current collaborator, Madge talked about a past collaborator, Britney Spears, and whether or not she will appear on her new single, “Girls Gone Wild,” as internet rumors suggest. “No, it’s just little ol’ me,” she said, before offering some hope that the two could reunite for the track in some way. “She can come on stage and perform it with me if she wants.”
