Raekwon and Kelly Rowland - BET
The 2012 edition of the BET Honors celebrated a few musical greats and among them was pop icon Mariah Carey. The network tapped r&b/pop singer Kelly Rowland and the legendary Patti LaBelle to perform in her honor.
Kelly, rocking her best diva-inspired big hair and tight sparkling dress, hit the stage and absolutely nailed MC’s “Fantasy”–high note and all! She was joined by rapper Raekwon to add a bit of ODB‘s infamous rap. Mariah could be seen dancing and singing along in the audience.
Things took an emotional turn when Patti LaBelle took the stage to perform Mariah’s smash hit, “Hero.” Carey looked truly honored during the performance, shedding tears as it went on.
“I’m really and utterly humbled,” Mariah said as she accepted her award. “I can’t thank you enough everybody.”
