J. Cole is back to the business of dropping new music with his latest release, “Grew Up Fast.”
The track, which features a sample of soulman David Ruffin‘s “Double Cross,” finds the Best New Artist Grammy nominee rapping about everything from his rise to fame, his nay-sayers, bringing back the soul in a techno-driven music world, and throwing out a not-diss (but kinda is a diss) to Diggy Simmons. “You more Diggy, I’m more Biggie,” Cole rhymes. “No diss to the young boy.”
