Justin Bieber turns 18 years old today (March 1) (yes, cougars, he’s finally legal), and he’s celebrating the milestone birthday by giving his fans the gift of good news. New music news.
During his appearance on Ellen, airing today, Justin announced plans to release the first single from his highly-anticipated new album, Believe, later this month. “My big announcement is that on March 26th, my first single is coming out and it’s called ‘Boyfriend,’ ” Bieber said.
Bieber further dished the deets on the track, which he co-penned with “Cooler Than Me” singer Mike Posner. “The song is basically, I’m talking to this girl and I’m like if I was your boyfriend I’d never let you go,” he said. “The verses, I’m kind of talking/rapping and on the hook I’m singing. It’s a really awesome song I think.”
Also while appearing on Ellen, Bieber’s manager, Scooter Braun, came out to surprise Bieber with a very special gift that he and Usher got for his big day: an electric luxury car called The Fisker Karma.
