It was Team Adam Levine and Team Cee-Lo Green‘s turn to face the dreaded instant elimination at the end of last night’s (April 23) live show round on The Voice and this time, there were no real surprises.
Cee-Lo opted to eliminate crooner and lady’s man James Massone. The singer drew mixed reactions for his performance last night of Billy Joel‘s “Just The Way You Are,” before his elimination. With his dismissal, singers Jamar Rogers, who had a stand out performance of the night when he opened the show with Bon Jovi‘s “It’s My Life,” Juliet Simms and Cheesa remain on Cee-Lo’s team.
Singer Pip received the boot during the instant elimination round for Adam’s team. The singer, known for his preppy attire, smooth voice and bow ties, didn’t really stand a chance against his team mate’s performances. Team mate Tony Lucca owned the night with his surprising performance of his fellow Mickey Mouse Club alum Britney Spears‘ song “…Baby One More Time.” Pip also faced stiff competition from Katrina Parker and Mathai. Both received rave reviews from their coach and rival coaches.
Tonight (April 24), two more singers will be sent home.
