Carrie Underwood has left her competition blown away. The country star and American Idol season 4 champ beat out new albums by B.o.B and Norah Jones to top the Billboard 200 albums chart with her new album, Blown Away.
The set, Underwood’s fourth, debuted at No. 1 after selling 267,000 copies, Billboard reports. The impressive first-week sum also gives Blown Away the second-highest debut sales week of 2012 so far. Madonna is in first place with her dance-pop collection, MDNA, which started with 358,000 copies.
Speaking of B.o.B. and Norah Jones, their new albums didn’t do too bad. Jones’ Little Broken Hearts sold 110,000 copies, while Mr. Bobby Ray’s Strange Clouds clocked 76,000 copies.
