Chris Brown is ready to turn up the music at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards. The singer/songwriter is the latest act to be tapped to perform at the big awards show, it was announced today (May 12).
Chris Breezy is heading into the awards show as a multiple nominee. He’s nominated for a total of four awards. They include top r&b song, top r&b album, top r&b artist and top male artist. He joins a busy list of previously announced performers like Justin Bieber, Carrie Underwood, LMFAO, Kelly Clarkson, Usher, Nelly Furtado and more.
The performance comes at a pretty good time for Brown. It will help to set up his new album, “Fortune,” which will be released on July 3. The singer has multiple singles available from the set, including “Turn Up The Music,” “Sweet Love,” “Til I Die” with Big Sean and Wiz Khalifa, and the newly announced David Guetta production “Don’t Wake Me Up.”
The 2012 Billboard Music Awards will take place at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Arena on May 20 and air live on ABC. A full list of nominees can be found on Billboard.com.
