Justin Bieber‘s loyal flock of fans came through for the pop star in a big way. “Believe,” Justin’s brand new album, sits pretty at No. 1 with a debut sales week of 374,000 copies according to Nielsen SoundScan.
The first week tally makes Justin’s new set the highest debut sales week so far this year. It eclipses Madonna who previously held the record with 359,000 copies sold of “MDNA” in its first week out.
“Believe” is Justin’s fourth No. 1 album. Bieber’s other albums to top the chart includes “Under The Mistletoe,” “My World 2.0,” and “Never Say Never: The Remixes.”
Before the album’s release, Justin embarked on a pretty heavy promotional blitz. It included performances on The Late Show with David Letterman, the Today Show and a two-night special called Justin Bieber: All Around The World that aired on NBC during release week.
