After sitting down for an interview with host Jay Leno, Nicki Minaj turned up the heat on stage with a performance of her latest single.
Dressed in a nude colored, jewel and feather-adorned bodysuit, Nicki got all shades of sexy to her new single “Pound The Alarm.” Her shirtless dancers bumped and grind all over the stage while the rapper did her thing to the song. This is the first time the rapper has performed the song live on US television.
Nicki Minaj is coming off of a Billboard Hot 100 history-making week. The singer’s song “Starships” notches 21 consecutive weeks in the top 10 of the main singles chart, beating out the Black Eyed Peas 20 week run in 2009 with their single “I Gotta Feeling.”
“Pound The Alarm” is taken from Nicki’s platinum-selling latest album, “Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded.” The rapper just came back from shooting the video in her hometown of Trinidad. Along with the album, Nicki is co-starring in the new movie “Ice Age: Continental Drift,” which arrived in theaters yesterday (July 13). Watch Nicki’s performance below.
