Video: Demi Lovato Performs National Anthem At Game 4 Of The World Series

Demi Lovato

As baseball fans geared up for what could be the final game of the 2012 World Series match up between the San Francisco Giants versus the Detroit Tigers, music fans prepared to watch singer/songwriter Demi Lovato perform the National Anthem. Before tonight’s (October 28) game, Demi delivered a soulful performance of the Star Spangled Banner, showing off some impressive vocal acrobatics.

While Demi’s fans certainly enjoyed her performance, some Twitter critics weighed in heavily–and negatively. “Demi Lovato’s National Anthem: more painful than 19th-century dentistry,” tweeted CBS Sports’ popular Eye On Baseball account. This statement immediately started a mini Twitter war between the account and angry Lovatics.

When Demi isn’t performing the National Anthem and singing chart-topping pop songs, she’s judging new talent alongside Simon Cowell, L.A. Reid and Britney Spears on The X Factor USA. Live shows for the reality singing competition starts November 1. Watch the performance below.
