Christina Aguilera lent her time and her voice to assist in raising funds for the families left devastated by Hurricane Sandy’s wrath by performing at NBCUniversal’s Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together benefit.
“I was born in Staten Island. Four days ago, Hurricane Sandy came through and devastated it, as it did most of the eastern seaboard,” Xtina said. “We’ve come together tonight to tell every single person who’s suffering that we’re here for you. We will do whatever we can to help. We will not leave anyone behind because every single one of you matter.”
With those heartfelt words, Xtina launched into a powerful, flawless rendition of her timeless classic “Beautiful.”
Funds raised by tonight’s telethon, which also features Bruce Springsteen, Sting, Jon Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, and Billy Joel, will go to the American Red Cross. Make your donation by visiting their website here.
