The Voice Results: De’Borah, More Eliminated During First Playoffs Results Show

Team Christina Aguilera – NBC

All good things must come to an end. Unfortunately on last night’s (November 9) live playoffs results show, eight singers’ good thing and time on season three of The Voice ended after two nights of amazing performances.

Each coach anxiously waited to hear the results for their teams as America’s votes decided the top two singers for each. Once the top two were revealed, they could then save just one of their three remaining singers. The choice would leave some coaches torn.

First up was Team Adam Levine. Amanda Brown and Bryan Keith received the highest amount of votes, leaving Loren Allred, Joselyn Rivera and Melanie Martinez. After singing each on of their praised, Adam ultimately picked Martinez to round out his top three.

Next to hear the good and bad news was Team Blake Shelton. Terry McDermott and fan favorite Cassadee Pope sailed straight through to the next round while Liz Davis, Julio Cesar Castillo and Michaela Paige waiting for a save. Blake decided to go with his “heart and emotion” and take Michaela into the top 12.

The most shocking and emotional elimination of the night came from Team Christina Aguilera. Returning singer Dez Duron received the highest amount of votes along with Egyptian-born Sylvia Yacoub. A visibly upset Xtina was forced to make a choice between Adriana Louise, Devyn DeLoera and fan favorite De’Borah. After giving them a pep talk, a torn Aguilera chose Adriana to continue because she felt the singer hasn’t shown all she has to offer yet.

Last was Team Cee-Lo Green. Trevin Hunte and Nicholas David were the top two, leaving Diego ValMackenzie Bourg and Cody Belew to sweat it out for a save from their coach. Judging by the most improved, Cee-Lo picked Cody to move on to the top 12.
