The boys of One Direction woke up bright and early this morning to perform for a massive crowd at New York City’s Rockefeller Plaza for the Today Show. 1D’s set included their hit “What Makes You Beautiful” from their debut album, Up All Night, plus “Little Things” and “Live While We’re Young” from their just-released sophomore set, Take Me Home.

The boys — Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson — took time during their concert to make a major announcement. “We’re gonna do out first-ever movie,” Niall said, welcoming screams and cheers from the crowd of Directioners. “It’s going to be in 3-D and it’s coming to cinemas near you on the 30th of August, 2013.”

The movie is expected to be a docu-film, similar to Justin Bieber‘s Never Say Never and Katy Perry‘s Part Of Me, and will be directed by Morgan Spurlock.
