One Direction’s ‘Take Me Home’ Predicted To Crush Christina Aguilera, Lana Del Rey In First-Week Sales

One Direction‘s new album, Take Me Home, will take them to the top. The fivesome’s sophomore album is expected to debut at the top of the Billboard 200 albums chart on the strength of — get ready for it — 525-575k copies sold in its first week out, reports Hits Daily Double.

The monstrous sales sum won’t be enough to give the boys — Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson — the biggest debut of the year — it would place them in third behind Mumford & SonsBabel with 600k copies sold and Taylor Swift‘s Red with 1.21m copies sold — however, it will give the boys ultimate bragging rights. Take Me Home’s first-week sales will crush new releases by Christina Aguilera and Lana Del Rey.

Xtina’s lightly-promoted new album, Lotus, is expected to sell between 75-80k copies in its debut week, while Lana’s Born To Die: Paradise Edition will take in 65-70k copies.
