X Factor USA: Jennel Garcia And More Of The Best Performances This Week [Video]

Beatrice Miller

The top 12 on the X Factor USA took the stage this week and gave performances with a hot and spicy diva theme. Some of the acts would bring out their inner divas and steal the show while others would…well, suck.

Simon Cowell‘s groups, Britney Spears‘ teens, Demi Lovato‘s young adults and L.A. Reid‘s over 25s would tackle songs by great singers like Celine Dion, Beyonce, Tina Turner and more. Here’s a few of the best performances from this week’s diva show.

Jennel Garcia: Sure, she might have gotten the boot but that doesn’t mean her performance of “Proud Mary” didn’t rock. Jennel showed some serious improvement with her diva performance but unfortunately, it was too little, too late. Whomp.

Carly Rose Sonenclar: No surprises her. Carly Rose gave yet another strong performance, this time of Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On.” Big song but it suited her big voice just fine. Slay on, Carly!

Beatrice Miller: Beatrice stepped up her game after a few rough weeks with a pretty nice performance of Cyndi Lauper’s “Time After Time.” Great voice on this teen but her styling is atrocious! L.A. loved her voice but felt the song choice didn’t allow her voice to peak.

Tate Stevens: Tate got all lovey dovey during his performance of Shania Twain’s “From This Moment,” dedicating it to his lovely wife. Tate sounded great but the layered background vocals was a bit distracting.

  1. Jennel should not have gone home! She had hands down the best voice on demi’s entire team and personality as well. I truly believe if it had been who got the lowest number of votes from America, Jennel would have stayed. I think the judges knew Jennel was the one that would go the farthest on Demi’s team and took the opportunity to eliminate her while they had the chance. It is ridiculous how they could choose marketability over true talent. That show will not be the same with out Jennel’s spunk and increadible performances. It is a shame that this happened and extremely disappointing.
