Team Christina Aguilera is getting smaller and smaller. The pop music icon lost yet another singer from her team during last night’s (November 20) live results show on season three of The Voice.
Egyptian-born singer Sylvia Yacoub was one of two singers eliminated from the competition after polling the lowest amount of votes from America. Yacoub’s departure leaves Xtina with only one remaining singer: crooner Dez Duron.
Before the bad news was dished out, Sylvia got the chance to perform one last time with her coach and Duron, hitting the stage with Aguilera’s new song “Let There Be Love.”
Xtina wasn’t the only coach saying goodbye to an act. Adam Levine lost his first team member, saying bye bye to soulful singer Bryan Keith. This leaves his team with two singers: Melanie Martinez and Amanda Brown.
As the competition currently stands, Team Cee-Lo Green is the only one to have all three acts. His singers, Nicholas David, Cody Belew and Trevin Hunte, all sail on to next week’s top 8 live performance show. Joining them will be Blake Shelton‘s team of two which includes former Hey Monday lead singer Cassadee Pope and rocker Terry McDermott.
The top 8 singers are:
Team Adam Levine: Melanie Martinez, Amanda Brown
Team Christina Aguilera: Dez Duron
Team Blake Shelton: Terry McDermott, Cassadee Pope
Team Cee-Lo Green: Nicholas David, Cody Belew, Trevin Hunte
