Beyonce will be the subject and director of her very own documentary to air on HBO next year. According to Variety, the Grammy-winning pop icon will give fans a rare glimpse into her heavily-guarded private life during the doc.
“Everybody knows Beyoncé’s music, but few know Beyoncé the person,” Michael Lombardo, president of HBO Programming, said in the announcement. “Along with electrifying footage of Beyoncé onstage, this unique special looks beyond the glamour to reveal a vibrant, vulnerable, unforgettable woman.”
Added Bey, “I am excited that my film will be part of [HBO's] bold programming. This film was so personal to me, it had to have the right home.”
The Beyonce doc will air on February 16, not long after B performs as the halftime entertainment at Super Bowl XLVII on February 3.
