Video: Adam Lambert Talks Hosting VH1 Divas, Marriage, More On ‘The Wendy Williams Show’

Adam Lambert

Adam Lambert stopped by The Wendy Williams Show this morning (December 10) with a whole lot to talk about. First on the list, the Grammy-nominated glam god talked about his excitement over hosting this year’s VH1 Divas, which will feature performances by Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus, Kelly Rowland, Keri Hilson, Ciara, and Jordin Sparks, among others. “I’m so excited,” Adam said. “The line up is crazy and I’ve been on the phone all week talking with the musical director figuring out what the songs are gonna be, the material…it’s gonna be a really good show.”

Of course, the American Idol alum was asked about the drama surrounding feuding judges Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey in the current season. “I don’t know if I should answer that,” he joked, before adding, “I just want it to be about the contestants, and hopefully it’s about the contestants.”

While Adam was somewhat standoffish on offering his opinion on the current state of Idol, he didn’t hold back when asked about his plans (or lack there of) to marry his longtime boyfriend, Sauli Koskinen. “The way I look at it, everybody should have the right to get married if they so choose. Right now, personally, I’m not really thinking about marriage,” he said. “When I grew up, I didn’t ever think that marriage was even something that was going to be part of my reality. So now that that’s something that’s kind of new and something that’s becoming accepted, it’s a totally different world.”

Watch Adam on The Wendy Williams Show below, and see him host VH1 Divas 2012, benefiting the Save The Music Foundation, live at 9pm EST on December 16.
