The top four singers on season three of The Voice gave stunning performances in a bid to move on to the finals next week but only three could advance. So who went home?
Cee-Lo Green‘s powerhouse singer Trevin Hunte was eliminated during last night’s (December 11) live semi-finals results show. His back story of low confidence combined with his big voice made him a front-runner since the early rounds of the competition. His audition of Beyonce’s “Listen” prompted three coaches to turn around for him with Cee-Lo eventually winning him over. Since then, Hunte has given strong performances like his battle round performance of Mariah Carey’s “Vision of Love,” with Amanda Brown, his live playoffs performance of Michael Bolton’s “How Am I Supposed To Live Without You,” and more.
“Much love and support to @Tamor_11 – always giving it 110%,” Cee-Lo said to Trevin on Twitter. “This is just the beginning for you! Believe #TeamCeeLo”
Trevin’s elimination leaves Cee-Lo with only one singer to represent him in the finals: soul singer Nicholas David. David will go head to head with former Hey Monday lead singer and fan favorite Cassadee Pope and rocker Terry McDermott–both from Blake Shelton‘s team. They’ll all perform during the live finals next Monday, December 17. The season three winner will be crowned during the live finale results show the following day.
