Video: ‘The Voice’ Coaches Perform “Hallelujah” In Tribute To Newtown Shooting Victims

Christina Aguilera

The finale of The Voice started on a somber note as the coaches — Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, Cee-Lo Green, and Christina Aguilera — paid tribute to the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in Newtown, Connecticut. With the stage illuminated by candles, the coaches performed an emotional rendition of “Hallelujah” while they and every member of their season 3 teams held cards bearing the names of each of the young victims.

The Voice should record and sell this on itunes. They should donate profits for counseling services to the survivors at Sandy Hook Elementary. I am a school counselor and believe me those children and faculty will need plenty grief counseling along with individual and group counseling. It’s time America wakes up and acknowledges the mentally ill. This could happen at any school in America on any given day. Instead of making counselors push papers and do testing all day…..How about let them do what they were trained to do..COUNSEL!!!!! Wake up people..You guys elect these fools.
