It’s now 2013 (at least on the east coast at the moment) but before the ball dropped and everyone started to celebrate the new year, they were treated to performances from some of today’s hottest stars on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.

Taylor Swift hit the stage for a performance of some of the hits taken from her latest album “Red.” She started out her performance with her latest single “I Knew You Were Trouble” and then closed out her set with “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.” It appeared to be a great time had by all–even if Taylor hit some really, really bad notes.

As mentioned, “I Knew You Were Trouble” and “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” both appear on Taylor’s super smash hit album “Red.” The album sold over 1 million copies during it’s first week out and currently sits at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 album chart. Watch the performance below.

  1. Taylor is the pro of pros. I’ve been watching her for five years which is about three or four late, and she has done more, stood against the slings and arrows better, and risen higher than anybody. Anyone who became the youngest contract songwriter/performer in Nashville history at 14, broke her contract at 15 because they were holding her back, and has written or co-wrote every one of her songs is a miracle in this business. As Scott Borcchetta said, the head of Big Machine Records (where she was their very first artist signed at 15) “If she wasn’t so young and cute, people would have called her a genius a long time ago.” That’s the truth.

  2. Do you work for her label? Her looks did help as well as her father knowing the right people. Most people don’t know that but I do. The songs she writes are not very special, her music all sounds the the same. Her voice, well thats kind of obvious that she cannot sing or hold a tune. Go on YouTube and you can find millions of young people with talent who can actually sing and write good songs Much, much better then big machines product. Her songs are all the same. Shes marketed for the young teens who actually go out and by CDs. She was a marketing tool that worked just like Britney Spears. She is not or even close to being a genius.
Besides that young innocent girl that she claims to be has gone through more men then most women have through in 20 years.
