Adele‘s theme song for the latest James Bond flick, Skyfall, could make her an Oscar winner. The British songbird’s “Skyfall” is up for Best Original Song at the 85th annual Academy Awards, it was announced today (January 10).

The track shares the category, which awards the songwriters and composers, with “Before My Time” from Chasing Ice by J. Ralph, “Everybody Needs A Best Friend” from Ted by Seth MacFarlane, “Pi’s Lullaby” from Life of Pi by Mychael Danna and Bombay Jayashri and “Suddenly” from Les Misérables by Claude-Michel Schönberg, Herbert Kretzmer and Alain Boublil.

We’ll see if “Skyfall,” which is also up for Best Original Song at this weekend’s Golden Globes, wins when the 2013 Oscars are handed out on February 24.
