When megastar and pop icon Beyonce takes the stage for her performance at Super Bowl XLVII, she’ll reportedly be joined by two familiar faces. US Weekly exclusively reports that former bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams will join the Mighty B onstage for a Destiny’s Child reunion during the big halftime show.
The news of this DC3 reunion performance comes just hours after the announcement of their first new material in eight years. The group will release the compilation album “Love Songs” which features the brand new track titled “Nuclear.” The song was produced by Pharrell Williams and co-written by Williams, DC’s Michelle Williams, James Fauntleroy and Lonny Bereal.
According to the mag, Beyonce will start out the performance solo and will be joined by Williams and Rowland midway through for a DC medley. They’ll then perform their new song together before Beyonce goes solo yet again to closes out the show with a new song from her highly anticipated fifth album.
Super Bowl XLVII takes place at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans on February 3, 2013.
