Lady GaGa fans in Chicago, Detroit and Hamilton will have to wait a bit longer to see Mother Monster take the stage during her Born This Way Ball tour. The pop star has been forced to postpone four tour dates in the three cities due to an injury she’s been keeping a secret.
“There’s an unfortunate announcement coming out right now, concerning myself and the Born This Way Ball,” the pop star wrote on her official Facebook account. “Im so sorry. I barely know what to say. I’ve been hiding a show injury and chronic pain for sometime now, over the past month it has worsened. I’ve been praying it would heal. I hid it from my staff, I didn’t want to disappoint my amazing fans. However after last nights performance I could not walk and still can’t.”
Due to the case of synovitis, described in Live Nation’s postponement announcement as severe inflammation of joints, GaGa will have to sit out the following shows:
- Feb. 13 & 14 – Chicago, IL – United Center
- Feb. 16 – Detroit, MI – Palace of Auburn Hills
- Feb 17 – Hamilton, ON – Copps Coliseum
“To the fans in Chicago, Detroit and Hamilton, I hope you can forgive me as it is nearly impossible for me to forgive myself right now” GaGa said in the announcement. “I would do anything for you. I will hopefully heal as soon as possible and be at 500% again, which is what you deserve.”
Lady GaGa’s show on February 19 in Philadelphia is expected to go on as planned at the moment.
