Adele’s “Skyfall” Wins Best Original Song At 2013 Oscars

Adele has a boatload of Grammys on her mantel already, but now she has to make room for an Oscar. The British songbird won an Academy Awards for co-penning and performing the James Bond theme song “Skyfall.”

“Thank you so much…this is amazing,” an emotional Adele said while accepting her award before continuing on to thank a few folks from her production company, record label, “Skyfall” co-writer Paul Epworth “for believing in me all the time,” and her boyfriend Simon.

Earlier in the night, Adele gave a stunning performance of “Skyfall” while wearing a sparkling black dressed and backed by a full orchestra. See the performance here.
