Rihanna‘s scheduled stop at Baltimore, Maryland’s 1st Mariner Arena will not go on as planned. Live Nation announced early today (March 12) that the pop princess would need to cancel tonight’s show due to the flu and laryngitis. Fans have been instructed to hold on to their tickets to gain entry when the show is eventually rescheduled.
This is the second date on Rihanna’s highly anticipated Diamond World Tour to be postponed in less than a week. Over the weekend, Rihanna pulled the plug on her Boston concert date, also citing laryngitis. RiRi quickly posted an apology to her fans on Twitter, saying: “#BOSTON this is the hardest thing for me to deal with! I feel like we’ve been waiting on this day forever, and I’m hurt that I let you down. I hate disappointing people that never ever let me down!! I’m so embarrassed about this! Thank you for your prayers and well wishes! #DWT”
Rihanna successfully performed at the tour’s opening night in Buffalo, New York on March 9. The tour, which also includes opening act A$AP Rocky, is scheduled to go on as planned in Philadelphia on March 14.
