Bow down, b*tches. Queen Beyoncé is back and she’s letting all you peasants know she runs this motha.
In a cocky new track, titled “Bow Down/I Been On,” Bey is flexing her greatness for all the chicks who may have forgotten. “I know when you were little girls you dreamed of being in my world/Don’t forget it, don’t forget it/Respect that/Bow down, bitches/I took some time to live my life/But don’t think I’m just his little wife/Don’t get it twisted, get it twisted/This my sh*t/Bow down, bitches,” she sings on the “Bow Down” portion of the Hit Boy-produced jam.
As the song transitions to “I Been On,” Bey keeps a chopped and screwed voice on, A$AP Rocky-style, to rap — yes, rap! — about keeping it trill, popping bottles, smacking tricks, and to send a shout out to Pimp C. Unreal. The lesson: don’t underestimate Beyoncé.
B is preparing to release her highly-anticipated fifth studio album this year. She’ll kick off her Mrs. Carter Show world tour this April.
