It took more than half a decade for Justin Timberlake to release the follow-up to FutureSex/LoveSounds, the stunning 10-song collection that is his third studio album, The 20/20 Experience, out tomorrow (March 19). But the wait won’t be nearly as long for 20/20’s follow up.
During his album release party and concert at the El Rey Theater in Los Angeles, JT confirmed plans for The 20/20 Experience, Vol. 2. “I need to clear up a rumor,” The Hollywood Reporter quoted JT as saying. “Those rumors are true.”
JT’s pal, The Roots drummer QuestLove, spilled the beans on the forthcoming set, revealing it will be released in November and contain another 10 tracks. “20/20 Vol 2 comes out in nov. (10 songs now…..10 songs later= 20 vision),” he wrote. (JT didn’t confirm the release date.)
Before vol. 2 is released, JT is hard at work promoting the first half of The 20/20 Experience. He spent an entire week as musical guest on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, and wowed the crowd at his Myspace Secret Show at SXSW.
