It’s all over for two coaches on NBC’s hit reality singing competition show The Voice. Two singers were given the boot during last night’s (June 11) live elimination results show, leaving two coaches without singers for next week’s big season four finale.
Newbie Shakira and veteran coach Adam Levine both lost their one and only acts when the final finalist was revealed. This of course meant that their singers, Sasha Allen and Amber Carrington, polled the lowest amount of votes from America.
Earlier in the season, Sasha and Amber battled each other in the battle rounds as members of team Adam. After a pretty impressive performance by both singers, Adam chose to keep Amber and Shakira swooped in the steal Sasha.
Sasha and Amber’s eliminations mean Team Usher‘s Michelle Chamuel and Team Blake Shelton‘s Danielle Bradbery and The Swon Brothers advance to next week’s final three performance night and the results finale where the new winner will be revealed. If Michelle can pull out a win, it will be a first for new coach Usher. A win for Danielle or The Swon Bros would be Blake’s third in a row. He previously won seasons two and three with Jermaine Paul and Cassadee Pope respectively. Should The Swon Brother’s take the title, it will be a first for a duo or group on the history of the show.
