It was a good night to be Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Justin Timberlake last night at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards. The two acts walked away as the big winners of the awards show, held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Macklemore & Ryan Lewis picked up three KAWS Moon Man trophies: Best Hip Hop Video and Best Cinematography for “Can’t Hold Us,” and Best Video with a Social Message for “Same Love.”
While JT tied the duo with three awards in the general categories — Video Of The Year and Best Editing for “Mirrors,” and Best Direction for “Suit & Tie” featuring Jay Z – he was the biggest winner of the night, as he was honored with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. The honor came with a trophy and an extended performance, which included JT’s reunion with Nsync.
Other winners include Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift, One Direction, Pink, and Selena Gomez.
