After toning things down a bit for her weekend gig as Saturday Night Live host and musical guest, Miley Cyrus is back to turning things up. The pop star appeared on the Today Show this morning (October 7) and gave the Plaza a lively performance of hits old and new.
Backed by a colorful rainbow and mushroom stage set, Miley dazzled the packed audience of fans with hits “We Can’t Stop” and “Wrecking Ball” lifted from her new album “BANGERZ.” She also took us back to the good old days with her smash “Party In The USA.”
During her interview with Today’s Matt Lauer, Miley talked about the controversy surrounding her new image and especially that still talked about VMAs performance. “I don’t ever really plan to offend people but sometimes it just happens because I think people aren’t open to what they don’t understand,” she said. “But that’s why I went on doing this for my fans because they’re all really young and understand what I’m doing.”
“BANGERZ” will be released tomorrow. Watch Miley’s performances and her interview below.
