It looks like Miley Cyrus is taking her new album “BANGERZ” right to the top of the charts with some pretty healthy first week sales numbers. The set is expected to reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums charts next week with first week sales of around 250,000 copies according to industry insiders as reported by Billboard.com.
The solid debut sales prediction is partially due to Cyrus’ busy promotional schedule. The pop star played host and musical guest on Saturday Night Live over the weekend and appeared on the Today Show the day prior to the album’s release.
The projected first week sales total for “BANGERZ” is more than double the amount sold of Miley’s last studio effort. 2010’s “Can’t Be Tamed” debuted at No. 3 on Billboard’s main albums chart with a little over 100,000 copies sold.
“BANGERZ” features the smash singles “We Can’t Stop” and “Wrecking Ball.”
