The rapper, whose real name is Andre Benjamin, was clocked by Georgia police driving 109 mph in a 65 mph zone.

He was arrested and taken to Henry County Jail where he was booked and released on $1,200 bail.

E! News reports 3000 was rushing to a birthday party and missed his exit on highway I-75.

He is due in court April 29.

Kanye West maybe be coo coo crazy bananas sometimes but this is still a headline I did not expect to see! According to The Associated Press, Kanye and his body guard were arrested this morning in Los Angeles’ LAX airport for suspicion of vandalism after an apparent altercation with a photographer.

Airport spokesman Marshall Lowe says early reports are that West got into an altercation with a commercial photographer and a camera valued at more than $10,000 was broken. [SOURCE]

Ultra dry situation! Sounds to me like ol photog tried to get some savory airport candids of Ye and their precious camera paid the price. Doy!

Gym Class Heroes frontman Travis McCoy was arrested for assault at the St Louis stop of the Warped tour. Travie laid the smackdown on a douchbag (whom is also black) in the front row who yelled out calling the singer a “f*cking ignorant n*****.” Travis reacted by breaking his microphone over the guy’s head.

He was released early the next morning on $500 bail.

A rep for the hip hop/rock band issued the following statement about the incident:

“Somebody in the crowd was taunting Travis with racial slurs. Travis invited him onstage with the intent of calling him out in front of the crowd, with absolutely no intention of a physical altercation. When he tried to help him onstage, the guy hit Travis in the knee area (which has been in a brace because of a recent sprain), forcing Travis to defend himself. At this point, a scuffle broke out. This whole incident is unfortunate. Travis McCoy and Gym Class Heroes are anything but violent. Their message is about racial unity and having a good time. It’s amazing that in 2008 there are still people out there that would say such ignorant things.”

And to think, the smackdown came after they performed “Peace Sign.”

Disney’s reigning tween queen, Miley Cyrus, is on the cover of the July 5th edition of Billboard magazine. In the issue, she talks about her new album, “Breakout,” set for a July 22nd release. Miley Ray also discusses her love of writing songs and those infamous Vanity Fair pictures saying:

“I was embarrassed,” she says in her rapid, self-assured clip, “but also it’s like, every career thing that I do can’t be perfect, and sometimes my decisions are wrong. I think that just makes me even more relatable. An Ohio man has been arrested and charged with stalking singing sister duo Aly & AJ. 42 year old Rex Mettler is accused of threatening the girls by phone and online. A preliminary hearing is set for July 3rd and Mettler must undergo a mental health evaluation. He has plead not guilty. [SOURCE]

It’s a bad week to be an R&B singer with a funny name. First Shaffer Smith, now Nahum Grymes–better known as “Bed” crooner J. Holiday.

Holiday was arrested following a concert at University of Maryland Eastern Shore on drug possession charges. Officers pulled over two vehicals, one occupied by Holiday and a companion, after “they observed what appeared to be two vehicles driving in tandem at a high rate of speed,” according to Sgt. Frank Russo.

Russo states that the visual presence of marijuana on Holiday’s shirt coupled with the odor of marijuana in the car led to the arrests. Marijuana was also found during a search of the car.

Ne-Yo was arrested Feb. 19th in Cobb County, GA for reckless driving and not having a valid driving license.  Police say he was driving over 100 miles an hour. He was released the same day.
