Many fans thought Kanye West’s original “apology” to Taylor Swift for interrupting her VMA acceptance speech was deplorable. Well, you’re not the only one.

In a post on his blog made soon after he was asked to leave the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, Kanye seemingly apologized to Swift, her mom, and her fans, but ended the all-caps sorry-fest by saying, “I’m not crazy. I’m just real.”

West issued a shorter, less backhanded complimentary apology on his Kanye Univercity blog today:

I feel like Ben Stiller in “Meet the Parents” when he messed up everything and Robert De Niro asked him to leave…      That was Taylor’s moment and I had no right in any way to take it from her.  I am truly sorry.

Kanye, who had been drinking throughout the show and even walked the red carpet with drink in hand, stormed the stage after Swift was presented with an award for Best Female Video, an award he believed should have gone to his pal Beyonce.

Kanye West has had many jerky moments at awards shows, but none can outdo what he did at tonight’s 2009 Video Music Awards.

Ye took to the stage to interrupt Taylor Swift as she accepted her award for Best Female Video — an award he felt belonged to Beyonce for her much-imitated “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It).”

The outburst didn’t go over well. Whenever his name was mentioned for the rest of the night, West was mercilessly booed. Separating herself from his rant, Beyonce allowed Swift to finish her speech during her win for Video of the Year.

Even though West made himself look like a heartless buttmunch, he took to his blog to explain his actions and apologize to Swift — in all caps, of course.

If a doctor gives you an order, it’s probably best to follow it. Drake is learning that lesson the hard way.

The 22-year-old rapper tore several ligaments in his knee while playing basketball in June, and was told by doctors to sit out his opening slot on his mentor Lil Wayne’s “America’s Most Wanted Music Festival” tour, but he didn’t listen. Instead he shortened his set to 30-minutes thinking that was good enough. It wasn’t.

On Friday, Drake took a nasty spill as he ran across stage during a performance of his smash “Best I Ever Had,” and re-injured his knee. Now he’s facing surgery and months of recovery. He took to his official blog to reflect on the depths of his current situation.

“This bottle of Opus One is low but my spirits are high my friends. I am about 2 hours away from Toronto, CA where I will be spending the next chunk of time recovering from a surgery that I now must have,” he says in a blog post titled “Angels and Demons.”

“I embarked on this tour with a torn ACL, MCL, and LCL and due to the events that happened the other night lord only knows what other damage I have done.”

He continued: “On the bright side I will begin the reflecting and soul searching that it’s going to take to make this album and my outfit on the night I fell was crack. I will forever push myself beyond the limits despite advice and recommendations given because even with this new found success I am still the kid who wanted this more than anything in the world.”

“It’s funny when I read comments from previous fans who have lost interest because of the radio play and exposure I have,” he said. “I just want to assure anyone reading that nothing has changed on my end. I refuse to get comfortable, I refuse to fall in line and follow anyone else’s formulas. I still work as if So Far Gone had never dropped and I’m still trying to figure out how I’m going to gain entry to this game.”

No official word on whether or not Drake will rejoin the tour.

So what did happen? In a Global Grind blog post entitled “This Is My Life,” the “Miss Independent” singer explained the demands of shooting his World War II movie abroad and his non-stop touring schedule took its toll on his body.

“Basically, I have an issue with not knowing when to say enough is enough, so last night in Manchester, my body said it for me” he said in the July 17th dated entry.

“I got on stage energized and ready to go, even tho for the last 5 days I’ve been dealing with a sinus infection. I paid it no real mind, and kept on going, like I always do. My voice couldn’t take it.”

The Gentleman took time to express to his fans just what they mean to him and how much leaving the stage hurt him. “When I had to walk out on that stage and tell 12,000 of the people responsible for making me who I am that I could not perform for them, it literally broke my heart.”

Ne-Yo promises that the people of Manchester will receive the show that they deserve. No word yet on when that date will be rescheduled. He wrapped up his last date in London with support act Keri Hilson last night (July 19th).

Now I’ve only been an occupant of this planet for 29 years, but in that time I’ve seen the sunshine and the rain. I am a man that has gone thru the many levels of what it is to be a man. Because ultimately that’s what everybody wants. Be it “for life”, or “only for a night”, everybody wants to be happy. I think happiness starts with figuring out which one YOU want. If it’s “only for a night”, don’t run around getting into serious relationships, knowing all you’re gonna do is cheat. If it’s “for life”, understand what that means and be very careful in your selection process. Gotta make sure the other person is thinking the same way you are. In theory this should be very easy to do, in reality we lie to ourselves more than we do to other people.

Why won’t the people let Kanye West’s music video for “Paranoid” be great?! Instead of waiting for Kanye to work his magic on the vid for his latest single, someone has leaked a total of two version of the video, which stars Rihanna as Ye’s paranoid leading lady, to the internet–neither of which are the final cut.

Kanye, in all of his caps-lock glory, took to his blog to vent about his hurt over the leaks:

IT HURTS ME TO SEE THE OLD AND VERY WRONG VERSION OF THE PARANOID VIDEO GET LEAKED ALL OVER THE NET WHILE I WAS ON AN 11 HR FLIGHT AND COULDN’T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. IT’S JUST FRUSTRATING WHEN THIS STUFF HAPPENS BECAUSE I REALLY CARE ABOUT THE PRODUCT AND SINCE VIDEOS NEVER GET PLAYED ANY WAY YOU MIGHT AS WELL TWEAK THEM AND MAKE THEM AS SPECIAL AS POSSIBLE. THE VERSION THAT GOT LEAKED FROM THE CAMERA PHONE LAST WEEK IS AT LEAST A LITTLE CLOSER TO THE FINAL PRODUCT. THANK YOU EVERYBODY FOR YOUR SUPPORT BUT THAT VIDEO WAS NOT UP TO MY STANDARDS.

The first version leaked when a blogger taped the premiere at Island Def Jam’s spring collection unveiling last week. That cut was darker, edgier, and clearly fit the message of the song more than the second version that leaked which looks more like an ode to Rihanna’s hotness than music video.

The season 2 runner-up had some not so nice things to say about this year’s glam rocker Adam Lambert, who earlier in the competition received comparisons to the Spamalot actor for his theatrical singing style.

“I only turn the show on once a season, and only to see what the set looks like each year, ” Aiken said on his official blog (the post has since been removed). “This year, I happened to turn it during the minute that Adam Lambert was singing “Ring of Fire” and, at that moment, thought my ears would bleed. Contrived, awful, and slightly frightening!”

Adam wasn’t the only target in Clay’s legnthy rant. Clay spoke against what he called “an obvious bias” on AI this season towards Lambert and says Kris Allen’s victory was the result of viewers being tired of being told who to vote for. “I think many were turned off by the blatant favoritism shown towards one contestant. Therefore, on that last night, they used their votes against a contestant that they were tired of hearing about and for the contestant who had been written off.”

On Wednesday night, Conway, Arkansas native Kris Allen became the next American Idol during the season 8 finale.

From her slightly disgusted facial expressions during the Making The Band 4 live finale show last Thursday, it was easy to see that all things regarding the split of multi-platinum girl group Danity Kane were not forgiven by former member D. Woods.

While ousted partner in crime Aubrey O’Day gave a conditional “absolutely” to the question of bringing DK back together, D. gave a more drawn out and disappointing answer. “I definitely feel like the season that we had was wonderful and I definitely think that if another season came around, it would be great but right now it’s a new chapter. Everybody’s going on to different things and solo careers.”

Disappointed fans wanted to get to the bottom of the split of their beloved 5-some so D. Woods typed a lengthy post entitled “Man Against The Machine” on GlobalGrind.com to break down just what happen–kinda.

I am truly sorry for the disappointment and even more sorry to tell you that you will never find the answers or what’s real, while watching “reality” tv. The concoction of lies, truth, and entertainment has been the main course on the menu you’ve been eating for quite some time my friends. However, I am confident that the truth will “come out” when the sh*t hits the fan, literally!

In an era where MP3 blogs are dying to gain a little fame by being the first to post new music, album leaks are inevitable. Pop singer and Neon Limelight favorite Marié Digby unfortunately found this out first hand when her sophomore English language album, Breathing Underwater, leaked in its entirety last week–more than two months before its scheduled June release.

The singer took the leak in stride and posted her thoughts on her official Myspace blog:

Here’s the thing. In this day and age, albums are going to leak pretty much no matter what you do to try and prevent it. Yesterday, my album advance was sent only to the folks at my record label, radio DJ’s and music supervisors. It is just inevitable that one of those people are going to try and make a buck or put up the music just for their own personal satisfaction. It’s sad but it’s just a part of life…

But the truth is, I love this album so much.. I am so proud of it and I am almost excited that now people who really want to, can listen to all the hard work that I’ve done over the last few months.

If you feel the need to buy the album off of ebay or to download the whole thing for free.. just remember one thing please. I live and breathe music… it is all that I do in life and all that I want to do for the rest of my life. Please know that the one way you can help me continue doing it is by supporting my album. If you can’t afford 8 dollars for an album, then you can always support your favorite artists by even just purchasing a song or two ! If an artist I love had made a new album and it was on the internet, I would probably want it too !! But I would undoubtedly go and buy the album with pride on the date of release as well.. but that’s just me :)

There are two things Kanye West constantly fights against: rumors about his sexuality and criticism about his huge ego. South Park’s season premiere last night forced Ye to deal with both in one hilarious package.

In the episode, cartoon Kanye can no longer live on land with the regular people because as it has it, Yeezy is really a gay fish….. Yeah.

“Tell all my fans I love them, but a gay fish just can’t live in the outside world forever,” cartoon Yeezy told his eccentric crew.

After the episode aired (or during it), fans knew a response from Mr. 808’s and Heartbreak would be coming, and we knew it would be in all caps. As expected, West took to his blog to offer his thoughts on the show, and, surprisingly, it took it all in stride.
