Country/pop darling Taylor Swift will end another fantastic year with a headlining gig at Z100’s annual Jingle Ball show.

Joining the You Belong To Me singer in this star-studded Christmas show line up will be her new pal teen pop sensation Justin Bieber, John Mayer, American Idol winners Kris Allen and Jordin Sparks, The Fray, Pitbull, Owl City, Boys Like Girls and Billboard Hot 100’s current No. 1 star, Down singer Jay Sean.

The show is scheduled to take place December 11th at New York City’s famous Madison Square Garden. An exclusive pre-sale to loyal Z100 listeners, ZVIPs, will begin November 2nd with the general public on sale beginning the following day (Tuesday, November 3).

The Jingle Ball line up announcement will undoubtedly be good news for the NY tri-state area fans left without tickets to Swift’s extended Fearless tour. Tickets for select dates reportedly sold in two minutes.

Chris Brown is getting ready to put the focus back on his music in a big way.

The 20-year-old R&B star is already working hard serving his 180 days of community service in his native Virginia, but he’ll take a break next month to headline a star-studded concert for Power 105.1 FM in New Jersey.

The 2009 Powerhouse concert promises to be a must-see with Brown headlining and other acts like The-Dream, Trey Songz, Keri Hilson, Mario and Day26 set to ignite the stage at the IZOD Center.

An exclusive ticket pre-sale for Power 105.1’s Power Playaz will start on September 25 from 3PM to 11PM EST via Ticketmaster, with the general public sale starting the following day at 10AM.

Brown is performing in support of his new album, Graffiti, though there is no release date set currently. The first single from the set, the Lil Wayne-assisted “Transformer,” produced by Swizz Beatz, is expected to drop any day now.

Mariah Carey’s performance last night at the Pearl Theatre at the Palms Resort and Casino in Las Vegas was everything MiMi is all about: glitz, glamour, frills and a whole lot of singing.

The concert was the first of a limited engagement which includes three more shows, the next on September 12, with the last two on October 9 and 10.

The set list included Mariah’s biggest hits, classics, and new material from her upcoming album, Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, like “Always Be My Baby,” “Honey,” “Obsessed,” and “We Belong Together.” She even debuted her brand new single, the Foreigner cover “I Want To Know What Love Is.”

The limited engagement tour puts some of the hottest acts on stages all around the country. It kicked off in Seattle with an electrifying show by Daughtry and moved along with San Francisco, Dallas, and New Orleans being treated to The Offspring, Montgomery Gentry, and T-Pain respectively.

According to an email to Neon Limelight from Gotham Casting — a company often used by MTV Networks to cast their live audience shows — Mariah will film her episode of Storytellers on Thursday, August 6 in New York City.

The rapper is lending his song “Amazing” from his platinum smash album 808s and Heartbreak to the National Basketball Associate to be used in a music video highlighing memorable moments of past playoff games to hype the 2009 series.

The video features clips of great moments from basketball figures like Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Dwayne Wade and more all to the beat of Ye’s latest single, which features Young Jeezy.

Two months after the Feb. 8 altercation with boyfriend Chris Brown caused her to temporarily sideline her career, it has been announced that Rihanna will perform a one-off gig in the UAE on May 28.

Vibe Events Management, the promoter for the event, will reportedly stop at nothing to make sure the Bajan beauty can put on the best show possible for fans in the region, promising that the venue chosen for the show can meet every demand on her 38-page technical rider.

A venue for the event will be announced soon and more than 25,000 tickets are expected to go on sale in the coming weeks.

Beyonce fans in the UK have a chance to see the international diva perform for free — but they have to be Trident gum chewers.

Trident and Beyonce are teaming up to take over London’s O2 arena on November 15 for a special one night only gig. The only way to get a ticket to the show is to win them through the gum company’s “Trident Unwrapped” contest.

The Essence Music Festival will be celebrating its 15th anniversary in 2009 and already they’re getting ready for the big party going down July 3-5 in New Orleans at the Superdome. Some big names will be announced to take the stage–with quite possibly the biggest name, Beyonce, already announced to headline one of the nights.
