16-year-old singer/actress Demi Lovato has had an impressive run so far in her blossoming career. Since the release of her debut album Don’t Forget, she’s seen the set be certified gold, landed a coveted opening slot on the Jonas Brothers Burnin’ Up tour and is even headlining her own with David Archuleta. She’s keeping the momentum going by releasing her sophomore album Here We Go Again later this month.

With credits like those, it was only a matter of time before others caught on to the hotness that is Demi. Women’s Wear Daily took notice of the Sonny With A Chance star and spoke with her about her new album, keeping her fans in mind with her growing fashion sense and writing more mature music.

Chris Brown won’t make his comeback on a stage or in the studio if singer Spectacular of the R&B group Pretty Ricky has his way. Instead, he wants the 20-year-old star to meet him on YouTube for a “grind-off.”

And yes, folks, it’s exactly what you’re thinking.

Spec issued a dance challenge of sorts to some of today’s hottest young R&B stars, including Brown, Day26 and Trey Songz, to out grind him in a video posted to YouTube yesterday. In the video, he’s seen dancing erotically in nothing but an ill-fitting pair of underwear. Wrongness!

Take a look at the video above, but be warned: the video is probably not safe for work and definitely not safe for life.

Something (like this video) tells me Chris could win this dance-off with his dignity (and pants) intact.

When Beyonce and Trident got together to take over London they were not playing around.

The chewing gum giant and one of the most ubiquitous figures in pop music will hold a contest to give away 13,000 seats at London’s O2 arena for a special one night only concert on November 25. To get the word out about the launch of the contest and the Mighty B’s takeover, 100 ladies in high heels and black leotards hit Piccadilly Circus to perform the infamous dance from the “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)” video.

What’s better than a brand new Jonas Brothers interview? Having the interviewer be one of the Jonas Brothers! Confused? Don’t be! In Myspace’s latest edition of Artist On Artist, the JoBro’s take turns asking each other some hard hitting questions like what animal they would like to be(Joe’s Panda Bear quip is beyond excellent!), what’s their favorite Myspace moment and how’d it feel to not meet Paul McCartney. If that isn’t true journalism, I don’t know what is!

Another day, another song on Beyonce’s new album I Am…Sasha Fierce found to be meant for someone else. You already heard the story behind “If I Were A Boy” and Simon Cowell broke the news that the second single “Halo” was written for his protege Leona Lewis. Now, it’s been discovered that another song from the deluxe edition of the album, “Smash Into You,” was written for someone else, Limelight Spotlight artist Jon McLaughlin.

The song originally called “Smack Into You” was written for McLaughlin’s sophomore album Ok Now by Tricky Stewart and The-Dream. Though, the song was later scrapped from the album, Jon did perform the song live on his summer/fall tour. Not letting an amazing song go to waste, it was presented to Beyonce and changed to “Smash Into You” (that’s the part Beyonce must have “written” in order to receive that coveted writing credit because the two versions are practially identical lyrically otherwise).

Here’s what Jon had to say about the song in his bio:

“Smack Into You,” written and produced by Grammy winners Tricky and The-Dream, is about falling head over heels in love, a combination of the Police’s “Every Breath You Take” and U2’s “With Or Without You,” melding acoustic guitar and McLaughlin’s piano to create a passionate undertow. “This song has such a great groove and is so fun to play live,” says Jon. “It creates such a special moment in the room.”

There’s no big deal in a scrapped song being passed to another artist, but certainly there is something a little more unsettling about a writing credit being given for changing one word–and more unsettling are the people that will still consider that artist a songwriter. It’s a real shame and real songwriters shouldn’t stand for it. But when it comes to getting a song on a superstar artist like Beyonce’s album, you’d pretty much sell your soul for the bragging rights (and money), too.  The exposure you’d get and the potential that the song turns into a hit is so high that it outweighs sharing the hardwork.

The Ellen Show has been on a roll this week. First the back-to-back hotness of a Kanye West video premiere and performance, and now an overdose of sexy fetus action with Chris Brown. Breezy came to the show to promote his new dance game called U-Dance and chat a little about what he’s been up to. And he’s been up to a lot! The 19-year-old R&B thriller has been working on his new album, writing for Britney Spears, and working on two new movies.

He’s also been fending off rumored girlfriend Rihanna who he joked tries to steal a dance move or two from him. But he had no problem sharing his moves with host Ellen DeGeneres.

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz is pissed off! Several gossip sites were reporting that the pregnant Simpson sister was told she gained an unhealthy amount of weight during a recent doctors visit and to inspire her to watch what she eats, she’s purchased several pairs of size 0 jeans. Ash took to her Myspace blog to address the craziness, saying:

Today I read on a blog that I went to the doctor and he said I was overweight and I cried and went to Planet Blue (because I was blue) and bought 6 pair of size 0 jeans. Now it is ridiculous to read such nonsense about oneself so I thought I would address this one…

1. My doctor says I am right on target with my weight gain

2. Have not been to Planet Blue in at least two years

3. Love my maternity jeans ..they have stretchy tops it is awesome!

4. My closet full of size 0’s are being worn by Pete right now and he looks hot in them :)

So now that I have cleared that up let me tell you…carrying a child is the most inspiring, emotional, amazing experience of my life. My weight and my pant size are the absolute last thing I am concerned about. I am only concerned with having a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby. People who talk and judge pregnant women’s weight need to get a life!!!
